Crowns

If you ever need a dental crown treatment, then New Road Dental can help you. But do you know what a crown is used for?

A crown or ‘cap’ is designed to fit over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, a little like a helmet. It will typically be made from porcelain or gold (or a combination of the two), and is most commonly used in cases where patients have a broken or decayed tooth, or a tooth that has been filled on a number of occasions. Our crown dentists will be more than happy to discuss the different types with you to find the best solution.

As well as treating the conditions mentioned above, crowns are also used alongside root canal treatment to prevent further rotting, as the ‘new tooth’ when an implant has been fitted, and also to support bridges and dentures.

Before receiving this treatment, you will first need a consultation with our experienced dentists to discuss the best options for your individual situation. In some cases, your tooth may not be large enough for a crown. In this case, a dental implant would better suit your needs and fill your gap for life.

Additionally, if you should ever require an emergency crown, our dentists will be more than happy to advise you and help you to get this treatment as quickly as possible.

If you would like to come and see us for a crown consultation, or book a routine appointment, then you can simply book online today, or call us on 01923 776 270.

Bridges

“Is there a dentist near me who can fix the gap in my teeth?” The answer is yes – at New Road Dental our experienced bridge dentists can help you get rid of unsightly gaps in your smile.

If you do have missing teeth, but not enough to justify dentures, or if the missing teeth is only on one side of your mouth, then a bridge is a great way to improve your smile’s appearance.

A dental bridge works by anchoring itself to the teeth either side of a gap, so it quite literally bridges the gap in your mouth.

Before getting this treatment, you will need to come for a bridge consultation with our experienced dentists to assess whether or not this is the best option for you. An alternative to a bridge is to get a dental implant which, if looked after, can last a lifetime.

Also, if you should ever lose teeth unexpectedly, then an emergency bridge can be fitted at New Road Dental to fix your smile straight away.

To book a bridge consultation, routine appointment or other service such has whitening, or dental implants, simply book through our online booking system today, or call us on 01923 776 270.
