When someone mentions braces, most people think of the traditional “train tracks”, however this is not the only option anymore. Thanks to considerable advances in orthodontic technology in recent years, with Invisalign Clear Braces you can smile away. This technology is designed to fit around your lifestyle.
Invisalign offers a ground-breaking technique to correct misaligned and uneven teeth using Clear Brace technology that is practically invisible. Through the use of aligners crafted from a specially designed clear plastic, Invisalign adjusts the positioning of individual teeth by gently applying pressure. A series of aligners specifically designed to manipulate specific teeth at different times is used to produce the overall desired outcome by a Local Invisalign Dentist.
When you choose to refurbish your smile with Invisalign, the first step is an initial consultation with one of our Invisalign Dentists. They will take several impressions of your teeth and photographs, which will be used to demonstrate the end result of your orthodontic treatment. These moulds are then provided to a lab technician to produce your starting aligner.
Invisalign Clear Brace treatment can only be offered by verified practices that have demonstrated the highest levels of orthodontic care and treatment. You can trust New Road Dental to give you the perfectly aligned smile you deserve. New Road Dental has been serving the Croxley Green area for over 30 years.

Meet your Invisalign Experts
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign Clear Brace is the longest established orthodontic provider of removable braces. It works as an alternative to fixed braces that uses transparent removable aligners to create movement and adjust teeth.
Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
Teeth and tissue are essentially the same in both adults and children. A Local Invisalign dentist can successfully realign crooked teeth or a protruding overbite regardless of your age.
Why should I be concerned about a bad bite?
Bad bites can be detrimental to a person’s health. Properly aligned and supported teeth are healthier, easier to clean, and therefore more likely to last through a patient’s lifetime.
How long will the treatment take?
At New Road Dental Treatment can vary from closing front spaces in a few months, to a complete rehabilitation of a neglected mouth that could take up to two years or longer. Treatment maybe up to 20% longer due to the differences in physiological responses in the mouth of an adult compared to a child. An adult’s bone structure is more dense and firmly set so teeth may take slightly longer to move.
Can my appearance be improved?
Yes! Dramatic changes in a person’s smile and profile can be achieved. A person can look year’s younger by straightening crooked teeth or correcting an overbite or an underbite using Invlisalign Clear Braces. A beautiful smile can increase self-confidence and, in turn, a sense of well-being.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign Clear Braces move teeth with an appropriate placement of controlled movement on the teeth. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign not only controls the amount of movement per aligner, but also the timing of the movement. So at each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move, as per the Invisalign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system that moves teeth into the desired prescribed position.
How will my braces look?
Invlisalign use clear aligners, which are changed every 10-14 days according to you individual treatment plan. In the First or Second appointment, space will be created and tooth coloured attachments placed on the teeth. This helps with the movement of the teeth during the overall treatment. The aligner is clear.
Does it hurt?
When you move to a new aligner your teeth may start to feel achy after a few hours and your teeth feel tender for the first day or so as they get used to moving.
How frequently do I attend?
The dentist will recommend according to your treatment plan, appointments are usually once every 4 to 6 weeks for approximately 20 minutes unless further space needs to be created for movement. Then a longer appointment will be booked.
Do I have to wear a retainer?
Yes, depending on the case the dentist may place a fixed retainer on the lower arch, however you will be provided with both upper and lower removable retainers. These will need to be worn for as long as you wish to keep the teeth straight.
What happens if I break an aligner?
We always recommend to keep the previous aligners as you go through the system, this allows any changes to be maintained until you contact us, as we can order a replacement.
What if my retainer breaks?
Just call New Road Dental and we will book you in for an impression to get new retainer replacements, please check with reception for the up-to-date costs of replacement retainers.
How long will the treatment take?
The total duration of treatment depends on the complexity of the treatment. Typically treatment can last between 9 and 18 months. During your consultation, your Invisalign dentist can provide you with more detailed information.
How much will it cost?
Just call New Road Dental and one of our friendly receptionist can give you an up to date cost. Typically it ranges from £2000-£4500 depending on severity.
As an adult, how do I pay?
We are happy to discuss reasonable payment terms to cover the course of the estimated treatment period. Treatments between patients and accompanying costs will vary. Those factors affecting the simplicity or complexity of your problem will be explained in detail by your dentist. We do also have Invisalign Finance Plans spread over the length of the treatment or you can get Invisalign on Finance a payment plan to spread the costs further then the treatment time, this can be discussed with our reception team, about the monthly repayments and the interest rates associated with the treatment cost tailored to your specific needs.
